For maintenance box
For printers that use a maintenance box, when the error message "The Maintenance Box is at the end of its service life" appears, what to do is

Method 1 (replace the maintenance box with a new one)

-   Turn off the printer.
-   Replace the maintenance box with a new one. If the OEM maintenance box is not available in the market, you can use the NO-OEM maintenance box instead (the compatible maintenance box).

-   Turn on the printer and follow the instructions that appear on the printer's LCD screen. Done.

Method 2 (replacing the maintenance box chip)

-   Open the maintenance box and clean the ink pad inside.

-   After cleaning the ink pad, replace the maintenance box chip with a new one. You can buy maintenance box chips in online stores.

Method 3 (resetting the chip with a chip resetter tool)

-   Open the maintenance box and clean the ink pad inside.
-   After cleaning the ink pad, reset the chip with the chip resetter. Here's how to use the maintenance box chip resetter.

-   Paste the 7 pins on the chip resetter into the maintenance box chip.
-   Press and hold 3-5 seconds, the LED light will change from red to green.

For porous pad assy
For printers using a porous pad assy / waste ink pad assy, when the error message appears "The printer's ink pad is at the end of its service life." what to do is

1.   Replace the porous pad assy / waste ink pad assy with a new one, or if a new porous pad assy is not available in the market, you can clean it and reuse it.

2.   Reset the waste ink counter with the Epson Adjustment Program.

3.   How to use Epson Adjustment Program
-  Open AdjProg (1) - Select (2) - Model Name: select printer model (3) - Port: select USB port printer (4) - OK (5) - Particular adjustment mode (6).

-  Waste ink pad counter (7) - OK (8) - Put a tick on Main pad counter and Platen pad counter (9) - Check (10). If the Main pad counter value is above or equal to the maximum value, the Main pad counter must be reset. If the platen pad counter is above or equal to the maximum value, the platen pad counter must be reset.

-  Next we will reset the Main pad counter to zero. Check the Main pad counter (11) - Initialize (12). Follow all the instructions that appear on the screen such as turning off the printer and then turning the printer back on. When finished press Finish (13) and close the Adjustment Program. Done.
